Time after the events of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle the peace of the Mushroom Kingdom is again upset. The galaxy looks like it is about to return to chaos due to Cursaa mysterious and evil entity who seeks a source of energy to carry out his evil plan.

The energy he wants to exploit comes from Sparkcreatures created by the fusion of the Flashes ei Rabbids. Cursa uses the breach to help her, but the Sparks will ask Mario and his friends for help.

From this moment the challenge to Cursa starts, but to reach it you have to explore the worlds of the galaxy and get help from new and unexpected characters.


The short tutorialwithin the Mushroom Kingdom, introduces us to the different mechanics of the game.

Explorationinitially, it is limited, but with the progress of the worlds, all different, it expands very well becoming more and more satisfying, especially for those who want to discover all the secrets of the game.

But the real game experience comes from combat system tactical. The system is turn-based, incredibly rewarding, fun. Its simplicity hides an incredible depth because the possibility of game are always different, moreover, not all battles require the simple elimination of opponents. This fact, combined with some special side missions, adds variety to the title, giving us different challenges and a varying degree of challenge.

The characters that are usually used in battles are three, but we will have available nine characters totals to choose from. Each of them has different characteristics and weapons, in addition, each has their own trees talents personal that allow a great customization of the gaming experience. The level progression system does not concern the individual character, but all the heroes, so that no one is left behind and allows you to swap one hero for another at any time.

There graphics of the game is fluid and incredibly colorful, as you would expect from any Mario title. Bright and lively colors make the settings lively and joyful.

The films, made by hand, are the flagship of this graphic. Able to give emotions and characterize the characters through their expressions, they raise the narrative in a perfect way and you can’t get enough of it.

The character design of the characters introduced in this sequel is captivating and in perfect keeping with the title.

A slight sore point comes from the portable mode, in fact, unfortunately due to the small screen the exploration mode loses depth and becomes slightly difficult.

The fights, on the other hand, do not undergo any noteworthy changes. The experience in portable mode is still very valid, but the advice is to play the title on the TV.

The soundtrack, edited by Yoko Shimomura, Grant Kirkhope and Gareth Coker, it is sublime. Able to emphasize the various moments of the game, but also to relax during the most challenging exploratory phases.

Longevity & Difficulty

The game offers three difficulty levels: Relax, Medium and High. We played the title on medium difficulty and it appears to be accessible to everyone, but it is able to propose very demanding and satisfying challenges once they are finished.

With five, plus one, worlds to explore we are sure that Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will give you many hours of fun, especially if you are interested in completing the game in its entirety. The work done by Ubisoft Milan And Ubisoft Paris it’s really amazing, it has taken the formula of the previous title to a new level. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is a rare gem, capable of keeping the player glued to the title until its incredible, and fantastic, conclusion.
